About Us

Tranquility Lane is our haven in historic Nevada City, California. We are located a convenient 60 miles northeast of Sacramento (Highway 80 East to 49 at Auburn) and 70 miles southwest of Lake Tahoe (Highway 80 West to Highway 20). We are centrally located 3 miles from Grass Valley and 3 miles from downtown Nevada City.

We have much history right here on this property and are happy to share it with you on your most special event of a lifetime. My mother and her sisters were raised here and my grandparents were well known in the community for their large organic garden that was known throughout the state as “The Republic of North California” and visited by many from afar. Now the main garden area has been transformed into a perfect location for a romantic, memorable day and evening. My sister was married here in 1979 and our daughter was married here in August of 2004, after that we have hosted many weddings including another daughter’s wedding in 2009.

Dave and I have been married for over 35 years and feel that the day of your union is one that should be enjoyed and cherished for the rest of your lives. The pictures that you will view through generations will set the stage for memories that will warm your heart and draw you near to each other throughout your years together.

We will begin our preparations long before that special day arrives. We’ve allowed for extra time for set up and pick up so you have as few distractions and worries as possible during your ceremony and celebration.
